OSK silicone post insulators are designed for mounting and insulating current-carrying parts in electrical installations and switchgear with voltage of 10–110 kV AC at frequencies up to 100 Hz. They are used in outdoor switchgear conditions, on seacoasts, in areas with heavy industrial and natural pollution.
The insulator consists of an insulating part—a solid-cast silicone organic composition—and a monolithic fiberglass rod. The internal cavity is sealed. The rod is crimped on both sides with high-strength aluminum flanges without recesses, which reduces the risk of water accumulation. The solid-cast shell, obtained by mold casting, provides resistance to moisture penetration under the shell.
Climatic design UHL1 according to GOST 15150, ambient temperature from –60 to +40 °C, relative humidity up to 75% at 15 °C, altitude up to 1000 m above sea level. Insulators are designed for pollution level 1–4 according to GOST 9920. Manufactured according to TU 27.90.12.-005-97798631-2017.
Below is the line of METAENERGY post silicone insulators. The specific size is selected from the catalog for the project.
OSK post silicone insulators are manufactured for voltage classes 10, 35 and 110 kV. Each size has an individual height and mounting modification, specified upon ordering.
All versions are based on a unified design: fiberglass rod, silicone housing, cast aluminum flanges.
OSK xxx/10-zz
Designed for medium voltage electrical installations and switchgear. Insulator height from 285 to 500 mm (range per catalog).
Manufactured according to technical specifications, parameters are agreed upon via questionnaire. Modification zz defines the configuration of mounting holes and threads.
OSK xxx/35-zz
Medium voltage insulators with height selected according to project (standard range includes heights of 400, 500, 570 mm and others).
For precise height and mounting dimensions, use the catalog or request a specification sheet. Flange mounting is project-specific.
OSK 1100/110-zz
High-voltage insulators with a rated voltage of 110 kV. Insulator height 1100 mm (base model).
Standard designation OSK 1100/110-zz, where zz is the flange modification. Complete electrical characteristics and dimensions per product datasheet.
Insulator designation: OSK xxx/yy-zz, where xxx — height in mm, yy — rated voltage in kV, zz — mounting modification. The main standard sizes available in the catalog are listed below. The complete list and exact dimensions are provided upon request.

Insulators are used on coastlines, in chemically active zones and in conditions of increased risk of mechanical damage — operating parameters according to the passport.
OSK silicone insulators provide a range of operational advantages over traditional porcelain and glass alternatives.
The silicone surface repels water, prevents the formation of conductive bridges and maintains insulating properties even under heavy contamination.
Fiberglass rod and elastic sheath withstand impacts and vibrations — according to the type passport specifications.
The silicone compound is resistant to acids, alkalis, ultraviolet radiation, and sharp temperature fluctuations. No corrosion of metal flanges in marine climates.
Not subject to damage typical of ceramics during transportation and installation. Reduction of hidden defects.
Low weight simplifies installation, reduces load on supporting structures, and allows the use of lighter metal structures.
Cast aluminum flanges without welded joints — operational at −60…+40 °C and sharp thermal cycles.
The housing material resists the formation of conductive paths even under surface flashover conditions and heavy contamination.
The design tolerates unintentional impact loads during installation, reducing accident rates during mounting and operation.
Modification of flanges, mounting holes and threads is performed according to drawings agreed with the customer within technical specifications.
OSK insulators are part of the family of insulators and voltage indication devices covering outdoor and indoor insulation tasks for switchgear.
10–110 kV
OSK post silicone insulators cover medium and high voltage classes, complementing the polymer insulator range of 1–35 kV.
Silicone insulation for outdoor use
OSK is the only METAENERGY series with a silicone rubber housing for outdoor installations, combining hydrophobicity and UV resistance.
