Power tap-off point on busbar trunking

Key features

Modularity

Power tap-off along the entire length — connection points per project.

Compactness

Housings for dense, organized machine hall layout.

Flexibility

Reconfiguration and capacity expansion without cable rework.

Serviceability

Plug-in connection simplifies installation and maintenance of units.

Data Center Server Room Power Distribution

Data centers impose high requirements on power distribution systems in terms of power density, mobility, and serviceability. The METAENERGY busbar trunking system with tap-off units allows power extraction at any point along the server room route and load expansion without cable replacement. Key components: OB-250M and AI-125M tap-off units.

Cable System

  • Limited flexibility when reconfiguring racks
  • Increased cable volume during upgrades
  • More difficult to maintain server room compactness

Busbar Trunking with Tap-Off Units

  • Modular power extraction along entire line length
  • Reconfiguration and maintenance without cable replacement
  • Compact and organized power system

Installation on Distribution Line

Plug-in tap-off units are installed on dedicated power extraction windows of busbar trunking straight sections. On sections with installed units, tap-off spacing is determined by the project and the dimensions of the selected unit.

Minimum straight section length with OB-250 tap-off unit is 1000 mm. Available with or without pre-installed circuit breakers.

The tap-off unit is a key component of distribution busbar trunking. It ensures safe power extraction to racks, panels, and server room equipment. METAENERGY supplies compact modular units rated up to 250 A.
